i am upgrading my video card. are there any programs that will automatically remove unnecessary drivers, or do i have to do it manually? sorry if this is in the wrong section, i was torn between software & os and graphics cards &. driver support.

I usually remove the drivers using "Add/Remove Programs" first of all, and then clean up with driver cleaner.
READ if they are ATI graphics drivers that you want to remove or any ATI graphics card related driver then all you need to to is go here: http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/misc/catalystutils.html and download the catalyst uninstaller program. enjoy
