Right so i'm going to install my new cooler tomorrow (titan fenrir:p) but needless to say i overlooked the problem of removing the old thermal paste.

Obviously i havn't bought anything to remove it, so is there anything householdy i can use? Or can it just be wiped off etc? Hints and tips for applying the new cooler would be nice aswel:)

i used to use white spirit before i got some arcticlean - just clean it up throughly afterwards and you should be good to go. also, it might be worth investing in some arcticlean along with a tube of mx3 (or whatever) for your bits box (it comes in handy)

IPA (isopropyl alcohol) works like a treat. I've never had any reason to pay premium for some stuff packed in small Arctic Cooling bottles :)
