Motors Renault World Series: FREE tickets!!

I'm probably coming on my own, if not with 1 passenger, so I'll have a couple of spares. Couldn't really tell you what time I'll be there, but hopefully before mid-day.

 

I still have 3 spares if needs be.

Was pretty good today, met up with Highland3r and Co. Got to see some decent spills and a couple of bumps.

For anyone who is going tomorrow I advise you get there as early as possible, since traffic is pretty horrible round there.

 

BIT MEET!: If you want to hello etc we're aiming for 12 noon - 12:10 (just before F1 thing starts) at the bottom of the GrandStand tomorrow (Sunday).

 

I got there today at around 13:00 and there was very little traffic

All being well I should be there tomorrow at midday

 

Should get there for about 10, depending on traffic. Sounds like it was good today

 

Me and 'friend', are gonna be there early.
I'll phone/text tad or bindi at around 11ish and see where we are meeting, cos i wanna get a good place for photos.

 

Was a good day. Didn't start off too smoothly though:
1) I wake up late
2) I miss my turn off the M6 because I can't hear the satnav over the wind noise when travelling at 0.9 leptons
3) On the 10.7 mile drive to the next junction to turn round I realise I've forgotten my ticket

I got there though and the second person I asked in the carpark had a couple of spares with them so the day was saved Was nice to meet everyone I met.

Fev, you'll get one of those Renault girls one day mate... one day...

 

Was a great day, especially meeting up with everyone again. We (me and Lord A) got there for 9am. Got some good seats in the main grandstand which is where we met up with everyone else. In the end we had a little bit-tech corner going on.

We had a good vantage point of all the starts and saw a fair few spills, including a Clio smacking into the side of the pit lane and just missing our grandstand.

Highlight of the day was fev trying to get in with some of the Renault girls.

On the way back we had a nightmare of waiting 2hrs to get out of the car park, Lord A risked arrest by swearing / arguing with a policemen. But all in all it was a good day.

Wicked day, i've got just over 100 pics!

I was walking round with Tad, Stickeh, my mate and one of stickeh's.
We didn't go into the stands, and instead took a good corner instead and took pics from there.
Was good meeting up with the guys, damned good day.
Shame Rich/Jaik are hopeless at meets! (Or maybe me and josh are?)

Damn, missed you guys. I was stood at McCleans corner snapping away like a madman. Managed about 200 pics I think, although the majority were of grass and barrier! Had a great day, brought the inlaws and the missus. Traffic was mad up to the last roundabout, should have got there at half ten, managed to get there about an hour later! And the amount of speed cameras on the way was insane

I'll see if I can get a few photos upped in a bit.

I took close to 500 pics over the two days, around 50 of them were either badly out of focus / totally missed the car(s). Need to sort through them all & will post some of the best ones tomorrow sometime. Took some short videos too, got the F1 demonstration car playing an anthem or two, great show

I got mostly car pics (2.2GB of them!), stickeh was arsing about with the webcam on a MBP in the car and got many a strange picture of himself (in the hour and a half it took to get form where we parked to the front gates of donnington park)

Will weed through the pics and pick out a few that are postworthy

Taken with a Konika-Minolta Dimage Z3 on Auto settings, zoomed in at 12x optical zoom. Tried the sport mode but couldn't measure the shutter lag properly.
