I need to get a new PSU for my media center computer.

I have had really good service from a Tagan 330w PSU until it blew it's capacitors a few days ago.

any suggestions for a PSU to replace it?

currently running (well was running till the PSU blew it's capacitors.

    Graphics XFX ATI HD 5450
    2 hdds 7200 samsung spinpoint
1 blue ray rom / dvd writer drive.
    dual DVB/freeview tuner
Motherboard is an asus p5 with a 1.96 dual core intel processor.
    Windows 7

I've been running it 24/7 for a good number of years, so It's had a good life.

Ideally it'd be available from www.microdirect.co.uk or www.aria.co.uk as I can visit them in person and they are my usual suppliers.

I don't want to spend mega loads of money on it, just a reasonably priced one.

A seasonic 300W bronze certified one is cheap and much more reliable.

Which is not really saying much to be honest. Those things can set themselves on fire for christs sakes.

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything with an 80mm fan attached these days. But apart from that, it'll be fine. I only posted what I did because you were insisting on those two suppliers.

I think it's better to have a fan on the back rather than the top/bottom. (well in the case concerned the top will actually be the side as the PSU is mounted on it's side.)

The heat can be exhausted out of the case directly.

    The existing case fans are:
    Front - 92mm intake fan , 2100rpm, 21dBA
    Rear - 2 x 60mm exhaust fan, 3000rpm, 23dBA
Side - Intake vents, which are on the side of the front fan, so it's only taking air in by the side of it.

    This is the case:

Silver color and without the extras (vfd etc.)
