I have a shuttle SG31G2 as my server which I just put together (had it for a few weeks) and now the power supply fan is excessively noisy (a lot louder then the other SG31G2 that I have). anyone know where I can get a replacement?

All google has is links to places selling the system, since they obviousley have the model number and power supply in the discription.

Newegg has the 300w replacement but its not listed as compatible with this system. I dont know much about the formfactor that shuttle uses besides its something all their own. If it comes down to it, I'll open up the psu and swap the fan, but if I can geta replacement psu for a decent price I'd get that and hold onto the spare.

    Thanks.

Is it just the fan? You could open it up and stick a new one in there (as long as you don't poke around at the electrical bits).

Shuttle is being cooperative and letting me send in just the PSU, so I'll move the one from my second shuttle into the server and that one can be down while I wait for the replacement. I was afraid they'd make me send in the whole case, which would have been a pain to strip before I sent it in...
