I have an older 15" monitor that no longer displays the color red, besides that the picture is fine. I'm pretty sure that there are wires in the cable that are damaged, thus preventing it from displaying red. Does anyone know of any websites where I can by a replacement VGA cable with flying leads? Radioshack used to sell them, but I can't find them on there website anymore. I have searched, but I can't find them anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

i am not sure what you mean by flying leads but this might help vga monitor connectors are also called male 15 pin d-subminiture (d-sub) for short. this should help your search. also futulec.com and allelectronics.com should be good bets.

No, the gameport uses a 15 pin D-sub, DS15. The VGA connector is a HD-sub(for High Density D-type Subminiature) HD15. Just so noone orders a gameport cable instead of a monitor cable...
