My Audigy 2 ZS has a leaky SMD capacitor and their are no markings. It is specifically capacitor 113 on the upper left-hand corner near the EMU10K2 chip. One of the digital to analog converters refuses to work messing up the left speaker output while wrecking havoc on the surround sound mixer. Would it be worthwhile to try to fix the card or just throw it away? I have no experience with soldering capacitors. The card was replacement with a X-Meridian when the Audigy started to smell terrible; it reminded me of rotting seaweed mixed with aluminum.
The card will be recycled at the town dump metal bin. Damage from the capacitor was worse than expected and a pea sized burn mark was left behind.
