Is there a way to resize a partition?

On the PC i build for my uncle, it turns out 5gb isnt quite enough for windows, and it keeps complaining about lack of space. Is it possible to steal a gig from another partition and attach it to this one?

Yeh, but like the other guys have said you will need a 3rd party app, like Partition Magic to do it.

Yup is the be all and end all.

Make sure you have v8 or above if your dealing with large disks tho (160GB+)

Unfortunatly there are very few free apps that do this, most you will need to pay for.

    easier solution:

mount the documents&settings folder to a seperate partition, and make a 2gb partition at the end of the drive (or better yet, on a 2nd drive) just for the swap file. windows itself only takes up about 3gb at most. the compaints are coming most likely from 2 places : temp intarweb files, and the swap file.
