Graphics resolution problem on competition pro lcd

Im gonna be using a competition pro lcd for my mod and have it wired up using composite out from my graphics (FX5200). The problem i have is that i cannot set the resolution to what i want it to be- ie 360*240 or there abouts through windows. I downloaded powerstrip, but the screen doesnt appear as connected at all for it, even through there is a picture being displayed.

Any ideas as to changing the resolution?

Sorry to ask this but I am totally new to some of this (I have a sammy 32inch LCD-HDTFV (its a tv not monitor))

What is a competition pro LCD (What size is i?) you say you are using composite out of graphics card is this better than digital for some reason?

I too am having problems understanding resolutions and getting the right thing (ATI X800 PRO)

The competition pro LCD is an LCD screen designed for use with the Sony PSone as a portable device... in size its approx 5 inches across.

And im using composite out from my card because at present that is the only way that the LCD screen can be connected, it has no digital input nor a VGA pinout that i know of...

 

If it's composite, it should be a "just works" kind of TV connection. You should only need powerstrip if you've done a VGA mod and need to tweak signal timings.

 

i take it by VGA mod you mean this ?

If you know the pin out or where i can find it for the competion pro i would be greatful! so far i have managed to find nothing!

The screen works without having to force detection etc, i plug it in using composite, and it appears so that i can select that as an output!

I cant however find the screen listed in powerstrip! I see my main screen (samsung) and the second as not connected when im using the lcd, and my compaq when im dual screening...
Power strip should still pick it up no?
