    Resolutions ******* Me Over...

I came accross a pretty serious problem just spontaneously today for no immediatly obvious reason. Now, whenever my comp has to change resolutions (Any Game, Full-screen video, or even Screensavers), the resolution automatically resets to 640x480 once I quit out of the program and return to the normal desktop.
Which wouldnt be so bad, but the resolution actualy locks at this setting. When I go into Display Properties to change the res back to 1280x1024, an alert pops up saying

Then, upon clicking ok, another follows immediatly...
And the res simply stays at the extremly cramped 640x480, with the only solution being a reboot. This error occurs with all display changes that I try, even including screensaver or even desktop. Honestly im not sure at all whats causing this problem, may be drivers, may be the card, but I know that nothing aparent happened that would have this affect.

    Im running-
    -Windows XP Pro
    -On the only [Administrator] login
    -Sapphire 9700 Pro
    -Omega 2.5.97a Drivers

Thansk in advance for any suggestions...
