Here here - Look at me. I only got one old style A level (A grade E at that), yet managed to get to Uni. Took me 4 years to get a normal degree though, as I did a HND first and then skipped the first year of the degree course. So, If it's all gone titsup for you results wise, bear in mind that things are never as bleak as you my at first think.
Maths: A Further Maths: A Physics: A Computing: A was is ok... i suppose unfortunatly (as i have also achieved this) the hundred percent in modules very rarely is, i know a girl that missed a question out of an exam and still got 120/120
The way it works is that the raw mark from the exam paper is converted to a UMS (Uniform Mark Scale) score. Compensates for the relative difficulty of different papers I believe so that there's standard grade boundaries that don't change over the years. Makes it easier to compare modules. To get full marks in UMS terms doesn't require full marks on the exam paper.
I didnt that brilliant but i got what i needed so im off to Manchester Met in september Dunno how im gonna pay £1500 on the first day towards my accomodation :S
