fatty - a lot of people at RCS used their show cars as their daily drives too! It was a great mix of people like that, peoples daily drives, peoples personal projects, professional team drag strip projects etc really nice :)

Sweeet pity I live so far out otherwise I would have come for a look see....
My mates and I used to always go down to a drag strip called calder park just out of melbourne and watch the cars drag or race our bikes
It's funny my pride and joy when I was 21ish was an old 81 model RX-7 it's now a retro car lol

Fatty - there's a very well known V8-powered mini pickup (uses the chassis from a Ford GT40 replica)...

I watched it drive into the show with a roof rack on containing tent et cetera. I'd say that only 5-10% of the cars at the show were trailer queens.

PS: work is underway on the penskimobile.

Plastic body, four cylinders, rear wheel drive, 10,000 rpm, over 200bhp, covered in moss and completely unassuming-looking...

That's all I'm saying at the moment...

Pics will appear when I have the bugger in my grasp.

They were made of a duraplast - a byproduct of the cotton industry (I think)...

    It's bloody strong stuff.

But no, it's not a Trabby.

It's the four-wheeled equivelant of an icon of substandard, ovverrated BBC comedy.

I had a 320hp Mazda RX2 13B bridge port engine twin 2" exhaust RX7 series 4 turbo gearbox 1 tonne clutch etc alway painted in red oxide undercoat but it was rather quick used to eat a few V8's in its day
but I doubt very much it would come close to a mini with a V8
