Hello, I am new to this board. and I have an old Sony VAIO Laptop. I would like to know if it is possible to reuse it as a VGA Monitor. coz there are more than 15-pins in the LCD PLZ Help ASAP Enigma
Use the search, There are maaaaaanny threads about this in Modding... and this isn't quite the right forum for this question... in short the controllers, (usually from earthlcd or something like that) are more expensive than a new flat panel monitor... It's just not worth the hassle.
Welcome to Bit-Tech, but in future PLEASE: This si the wrong forum, electronics would be best for this, i'm sure the mod's will move it soon. Back onto laptop LCD's check this post for more info: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?postid=89610#post89610 - Its basically a longer version of what Pflumingo said though.
Welcome to the forums Moved from guides....and: We aren't trying to be mean, but it's just that this is a weekly kind of question. http://forums.bit-tech.net/search.p...id=59913&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending The short answer is you need a controller board to run a bare LCD. www.earthlcd.com The best option is to rip apart a existing LCD monitor and use it's parts (and LCD)
