Thanks Nutty... Well, the LCD overheating was an issue of its own, have no idea what triggered that. The damaged RAM was something else. Strange as well though, the computer wouldn't boot when tilted in certain angles. Very hard to pinpoint!

Thanks, appreciate your attention to detail!

The 12V boost extra long riser I got from here.

    Thanks!

I'm working on the final video right now... Expect finals later this evening!! :naughty:

Over 1000 hrs went into this machine. Had a lot of setbacks in the end, but I guess it was worth it.

A big thank you to the sponsors:

Awesome project and I love the use of Chris Huelsbeck music in the video. I've tons of old SID-music files form Chris around :)

Massive congratulations on finishing the build and getting everything operational. Videos were excellent as showed a lot of things that were obviously difficult to put across in the standard updates. Love the arcade interface, in fact love everything about it. Excellent work and look forward to following your next build (after a much deserved rest period of course)!!

Bummer. You really gotta hate **** like that. Especially with a customer build. I hope the customer doesn't come back to you with this problem. :/
I hope you don't mind me asking, but whywas it that the graphics card would need 12V boost? And what IS 12V boost anyway?

    Thanks Pranja!

Yeah! Chris was actually going to make a custom startup jingle for Revelation, but thing came in between.

    Thanks Meelobee!

    Thanks Antony!

Thanks Boorach! You're right, some of the stuff can be hard to put across in a photo worklog. But I also like to keep the worklogs as sparse as possible, leaving something for a grand finale. Some here might call that teasing or being plain evil =)

And about that resting period, I don't do resting. =) Already started a new project, will post a thread about it here pretty soon...

    Thanks CMos!

Thanks Waynio, glad you like it. I'm gonna try to make turn 3 into a 4 before end of the year!

    Thanks man!

Yeah, I think that LCD issue should be sorted out now, but you'll never know with hokus-pokus-electronics.

The extra 12V boost is protecting your motherboard from overdrawing power on it’s ATX power connector, if needed I guess... That's just from what I've read

Oh, ok. Thanks for the answer.
However, it still baffles me - I thought that's what the PCI-E connectors were for. :D

Awesome seem tasty, let me have some!

Well, I'm not sure what it does really... But it works, and my 15cm+15cm riser didn't, so I'm satisfied =)

    Thanks n00b, appreciate it!!
