Well, you'll only be watching TW if you have a time-machine, as that article is 5 years old! ;)

:waah: R.I.P. - I thought it was always really interesting (when they weren't talking about alternative power sources...)

Intersting, but am I the only one who realised that all the people over at Georgia Institute of Technology are gits? :eyebrow:

Anyway, just imagine it, a case filled with leeches doing simple math working as your cpu. As for power source? Just stick your arm in there, then your computer will really be sucking your blood, insted of just your wallet ;)

its the start of an insect/slug rebellion against mankind! we should all build nuclear bomb shelters and send our daughters off to military camp! first basic maths, then basic physics, then straight onto advanced nuclear astrophysics and theoretical advancements into time travel. Then thell go back, AND DESTROY US ALL.

tbh, sarcasm aside. I think every being has the ability to count in some form, otherwise madness would be invoked when you saw an apply coming towards your feet and youi belives a million were coming towards you, it cant happen, everything must be able to count in some way! As for biotechnology, the idea of a DNA Based computer has been around for years. Its been found that DNA, while not as quick as silcon and stuff liek that, canperform much more complex calculations, MUCH quicker. The sort of stuff which would take a normal computer these days a life time would take a DNA computer mere minutes, but it wouldnt be optimal for quake 3 :p
