So I find myself with revision notes on polymers on the desk front of me and my eyes are firmly on my computer monitor not the task in hand. Which lead me to think "what the hell, I shall have a break". We all do it, justify having breaks from rivision for trivial tasks. What are your favourite forms of revision avoidance?

Personally I would go with mowing the lawn, its been cut no less than three times in the past 7 days.

I tend not to procrastinate. I want to pass my exams. Procrastination is just a convenient term for being too lazy to actually work.

Actually its more often the case that procrastination often ends in tasks getting done, such as tidying your room or such like. Of course the internet isnt so much useful :p

i have flyers that need folding, ironing that needs doing, laptops that need formatting and a file server that needs installing. It's all too summery for me to try do it indoors, and using the cheap-o laptops outdoors isn't working.... feel free to help

The girlfriend is usually a pretty good one.

That or doing revision for a bit then just falling asleep in the sun. That's usually good fun.

I think I'm going to have to go nocturnal so that I feel less inclined to do things as it will be dark and thus more inclined to keep revising.

Badders, I would gladly mow your lawn so long as you:
    a) Don't have one of those god awful bottom end flymo's like we do
    b) Bring your lawn up to Nottingham as to trip it down to Essex would cause an unbelievable ammount of revision loss.

Exam in the morning, tomorrows revision plan? Nothing as I am "having a day off"

Aye it is, I think I'm going to spend it blitzing through HL2 Episode 1 in the hope I get it all over and done with then uninstall episode 2 so I have less distractions. Then theres my 2nd two runs of Mass effect that still need doing, an achievement on Army of Two to get, 4 still remain on Oblivion... I wish I could postpone life, I also wish I wasn't into games.

My best ever random procrastination was when I was studying one time and suddenly (and I mean like instantly) decided I was going to re arrange my room so I got a tape measure, measured everything in my room, created scale 2D models on my computer, printed them off, cut them out then spent a while moving them around a scale diagram of my room until I had it sorted, then spent the best part of 2 days moving everything.

I have ADHD though, so I just blame it on that :D

I agree with mowing the lawn :D
And CTR - omg that was an awesome game, sadly it's disappeared recently :waah:

But the problem is my view that if I didn't know it in the first place, it's highly unlikely that reading I'll remember it by reading through a book in the days beforehand.

i went to thorpe park yesterday.

granted that has very little to do with revision procrastination given that my days of exams are well and truly over and i'm A Professional With A Proper Job(TM), but i just thought i'd throw it out there, y'know, just to rub it in.
