One of the few games I ever pre-ordered.

Never understood the fascination with these 'orcs and trolls' type games. Medieval cack bores me to tears.
Soon as I see any game of this type in a games magazine or feature online, its a case of 'NEXT!'
Not interested in potions, collecting mucus etc

I really, really enjoyed this game, at some points more than Witcher 3 due to the storytelling. You're right in the ending also, probably the best ending to any game I've personally played.

I was lucky that I played the series once all three were out and was able to go straight on to the third game.

Played this after being annoyed at no cloud saves for Witcher 1 and so wasn't in the mood to start over, really really enjoyed it, not played many medieval rpgs (not played any elder scrolls, dragon age etc) but definitely meant to go back and play through again taking the other option mentioned in the article but forgot, maybe this is the nudge I need for the next time I want to commit to a story based game.
