    Copyright should remain a civil matter, not criminal. As if the government doesn't already have enough to enforce.

    Hey, lets fill the already over crowded prisons, and probably totally ruin someones life (Criminal record style) because they didn't protect their internet connection well enough!

    Is it legal to shoot someone that's stealing your internet? I mean, they'd probably have to be trespassing on your property, and they're stealing, so with this law, that would be a crime, are you entitled to the 'self defence' argument?
