I must have several dozen old IDE and FDD cables, does anyone know what the current ratings might be on this stuff, as I could do with some multicore cable from time to time and I hate to thow stuff out when I don't have to.

I know driving LEDs from it (well maybe a Luxeon might be) isn't a problem, but it's not meant to handle much as it's a signal wire and not a power wire.

I got some from Rapid to make a custom floppy cable, they say 7/0.127, rated 1A 300V. :)

That's fine then. Ideal for led headers and such.

i use it for tons of stuff... it's alot easier to tuck away in the corners of my case to hide from the windowed view! i must have 50-60 ribbon cables....
