I started out thinking "thats a real shame", but actually its not.

Thats a man who's achieved his goal, seen his dreams come to life.

He's helped others, he's changed the way we listen to sounds and music, and he's created some amazing products.

RIP Mr Bose because you've earned it, I only hope that I can get half as much out of my life as he did.

Having lots of money leaves you free to do that living without worry.

I almost linked Jesse J to that comment but couldn't bring myself to be such a terrible troll.

Yes - it's very easy to say that you have no interest in material wealth when money is plentiful. Still /threadcrap...

That is rude and totally out of place.

Well... it isn't totally out of place.

He at least puts a fullstop after RIP. Suggesting that the two points are perhaps separate. So I'm inclined to say it was politely divisive.

    P.S. RIP.

I don't suppose Amar would mind, alive or dead. He made his money and his mark regardless of whether everyone loved his products. I think it was the 'buy now pay later' adverts which appeared in seemingly every publication throughout the 90s that put some people off, coupled with the relative expense of the alarm clocks they were pimping.

I was always put off by the fact that in those adverts they never actually advertised a price - they let you try it without knowing what it was going to cost you...

Then you found out you were spending £500 on a CD alarm clock at 29.9% APR. Someone I know actually did this. The sound quality was good for the size but not tangibly better than a £60 micro hi-fi. We lol'd.
