    It's probably due to Harry's secret collection of belly button fluff he kept stuffing into the gaps of the blown psu in a panic whenever Tim walked nearby.

    Rich really should start painting AMD logos on his desk every time he kills a board, he'd have enough kills to be an ace by now haha

    Hah that same thing happened to my brothers old board, MOSFET blew up with a bang and the magic blue smoke escaping out the back of the PC.

    When I used to work at a crap PC vendor (coffeveshamcoff) we had a whole box of mobos (some MSI uATX intel boards I think), and on every single one a component in the middle of the board just heated right up until it started smoking.
    By the 5th or 6th it was getting old, I think all 20 out of the same box all failed in the same way...
    (obviously this was a one off and generally MSI boards are ok)

    I have had an experience with ASUS boards catching fire in the past. Same spot too. (mine was a sckt 462 though)
