The guy made millions of people happy and saw all this kids through to adulthood (not to mention the trust funds). There's only so much a man can do in a lifetime before he wears out; the selfish thing to do is stick around until you've lost your marbles and/or become a burden to your family.
Depressed people do irrational ****, because depression isn't a rational thing... It's easy to sit and judge but in truth we don't have [and will never have] any ****ing clue what was going through his head at the time... we can make guesses, educated ones at that, but we'll never know... for all we know he could've been the happiest he's ever been in the history of anything and decided to quit whilst he was ahead because life couldn't get any better [and yes, i do know of someone who commited suiced for that very reason]... Remember him for what he was rather than morbidly poking the corpse and dwelling on how he died, he died and that's pretty much all that matters in that regard... [imo] No doubt nexxo can put the above more eloquently [and tactfully] than that but I'm not him... Red dresses just aren't my thing...
its sad to know he lost the battle that so many fight each day i bear the scars of my long war agasint depression, as im sure many others on here do
This is where our views differ I'm afraid. I always put others before myself, including their happiness. I would never do it, leave my family behind because I gave up ? No thank you. Many people battle depression, and a lot of people come out the other side. If you have nobody to leave behind then sure do what you want, he's not around now to live with the aftermath of his actions, it's his family that have this burden. I loved the guy, but I don't agree with suicide.
That hit me yesterday morning pretty hard... Unbelievable, I cannot believe he's gone. Such a great actor, I loved him in all his movies. You couldn't tell he was depressed by his appearance - he was always smiling. R.I.P
clever guy thou right, he had care RIGHT UP CLOSE to his mind in his life time, magical guy, he had every thing and Ill be darned if doesn't have even more right now...
Just watch Bicentennial Man for the first time and it touch me quite emotionally, I was sad to see the ending finish that way!.. You will be missed by the many!.. R.I.P. Robin Williams... Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
