OK bit of an odd one this. I have a DVD of Radiohead live @ Astoria. I don't like listening to studio music, and will always take live wherever I can. So in order to play this DVD I have had to rip it (because I have no drive in the PC) and watch it via VLC. What I would rather have, however, is FLAC or WAV. Is there any way to do this without having to record WYH and split it all up myself? is there any way to rip the audio to something ?
'Any DVD Converter' will extract the Audio from an MP4. It'll do .wav but not FLAC although OGG is an option. Although I've not tried this it should also be able to extract it direct from a DVD.
Use VLC: http://ccm.net/faq/1266-extract-audio-from-any-video-using-vlc Plenty of audio converters about for WAV-> other formats too, e.g. CDeX.
I tried VLC but the version I am using (latest) did not have advanced. Weird ! Any way, grabbed DVDAC and it worked it would seem just need to label it up now and burn to CD. Thanks guys !
