I've always kinda wished someone (or some corporation I guess I should say) would make a game that uses a real guitar as a controller: either an analog input and a DSP device that translates your strumming into patterns the game would recognise, or just use one of the Fender digital guitars. Technically would be a crazy / expensive / challenging thing to overcome, but who knows what the future holds?

I guess it would just be really exciting to find a game that while playing you're also learning something you can use in real life too!

I'm fairly certain, though not 100%, that theirs were not made of cheap plastic. So they probably (again, I'm not 100% on this) didn't have the issue I had with the GHIII controller ripping my skin off... (I did kind of remedy it in the end when my mate gave me a Guitar Hero wristband.)

I really like the new RB controller as it's a much better size for me (due to living in the attic with slopey walls and Velux Roof Lights I have to play sitting down), I am almost used to the silent strum bar too, though I think mine is starting to play up and not register all the time. Oh well, I've seen you can get replacements for that and the tilt sensors :D

Done the Solo Guitar Tour on Easy & Medium so far, halfway through the Hard one. Sooooo easy compared to GHIII. Done the Vocal tour on Easy too. Drums are gonna take me a while cos they're so damn noisy I can only play them when no-one is downstairs. I'm loving the new star power energy stuff. Being able to top it up as you play is great. Not liking the way they've done the Bonus set-list though. I would've liked to pick what order I played the songs in. Cos I'm having to play ones I don't like to get to good ones. Ah well, I guess I'd have played them all eventually anyway.

You can get foam pads for the drums apparently to dampen the noise.

Yeah I heard about them, I keep missing the pads and hitting plastic anyway :D Wish I had the QMs and I'd use the sock mod! I have ELs though and they're not exactly sensitive as it is.

Even the full-sized ones aren't particularily comfortable, but the controller versions are perfect for being just the wrong shape tbh.

Got the game this morning, the guitar bit alone is far better than GH3
