Hallo All! First: I am out of practice and I hope you can understand my english. The Rocklander Projekt started not so long ago. But it is to much Information to show all at one time. For this reason I will first show you the important Steps: The main Idea behind Rocklander: - A Case, rotated 90°, so the connectors are now on the Top bur still hidden. - All other things you will see.. The Build-up as a simple picture story:
Wow! Sweet work and brilliant idea for that NZXT Lexa! I saw that MSI pic in your other log and was wondering why you had so many mobos! Now I see! subbed btw
I feel like aluminum today. What will it be? You will see! First: A plate and a jigsaw. After the saw comes the Dremel... ...and then the file . Finally the sanding. Still unfinished!
Great idea with the logo, but at the picture it look a little bit angular. I know how difficult such things are, but maybe you could “donate” maybe one hour that it looked like made with a CNC…;-) The other think I don´t like it the polish, in my opinion it would look even better when you will sand it in one direction, and not with an eccentric grinder. Well at the least I´ve one question, did you have the idea with the 90° rotated mainboard were you inspired by the SilverStone Raven?
A handmade part doesn't have to look like a CNC component. But: "The evening crowns the day." Similar to my answer I written before: "The evening crowns ..." If you believe it or not: I have the idea before I see the Raven the first time. I now that is unprovable. But even if I was inspired... Does it matter anyway?
Today I start with the illuminated ornament for the right side panal. The obligatory plexiglas Chunky cut with the jigsaw... ... and made a counterpart of aluminum With the Dremel I shape the rough edges. to be continued...
