I've just found out about Rocksmith and am interested in getting it but I've heard mention of rival software also in the pipeline - just wondering if anyone knows anything about the rivals, what they're called and when they might be released. Can't find anything myself. Cheers.

Rocksmith came out in the US a year ago and I've not heard of anything comparable, yet.

I have also heard of some of its competitors but for the life of me I can't remember any names. Either way I think Rocksmith is the biggest game of its kind out there right now. I have it on the xbox and I have been enjoying every minute, its an amazing game. There are a number of issues but considering this is the first of potentially many, I am hoping that future versions will improve upon whats already there :)

I wold definitely recommend getting it, that way you are helping to show that there is a genuine market for these types of games :)

Tempted to get it but I only play bass and I hear that not all the tracks are compatible with the bass expansion. Luckily it's bundled with the game in the EU edition though :)

Yeh, in the absence of any obviously superior product coming any time soon I think I'll add it to my birthday wishlist. Thanks for your input.
