"Rockstar, once again taking games to an all new low."

TBH, they could turn this one around to be a learning software for little kids on how to deal with problems in school.. but whatever, looks retarded IMO.

If this turns into Skool Daze 64 for PS2 it will be one of the best games ever.

    Not an easy feat though.

This one is asking for trouble. Some people always have to take things so literally.

But if anyone can make a game about bullying fun, then it's Rockstar :) I hope the Vancouver studio get some tips from the GTA lot.

That's just asking for it considering the Happy Slapping trend on atm. At least being a gun-wielding gangster in Vice City/San Andreas is arguably too off the wall to be simulated in real life, but anyone can be a bully and pick on other kids.

well anyway are you the bully? or do you have to void being bullied and get your own back or is it about school life? :worried:

I think you can become the bully. It sounds like a bit of a "life sim" type thing, I suppose. Bit crappy tbh..

Looks like a load of old **** to me. And it hardly seems such a wild prospect as the Japanese have been pumping out stuff with the same sort of theme for ages.

Screenshots appear to be broken. In any case, looks like GTA. In a playground. :|

I got bullied alot in school, so bad infact i missed an entire year! its not a "cool" subject to base a game on. Its always on the news "(insert game here) has been blamed for someone doing (insert thing here); So wtf do they expect this to evolve into? Next time someone gets bullied it`ll be blamed on the game, and no doubt some bullys will play the game and actually do what they played. What`s the point in the game? to run around getting ideas of what to do to the poor kid they bully each and every day in school, and make his/her life more of a missery, Because thats what`ll happen. guaranteed

Well you could say the same about all GTA games "my life was ruined my organised crime" etc.
If you dont get it, then dont play it. You have a choice.
How is picking on a kid worse than beating a granny to death with a snooker cue?

It's easy to get away with bullying in real life.

There seems to either be a lack of communication in this thread, or a lot of people just don't enjoy reading, yet feel the need to reply anyway.

OK, the game is situated at a school, and your job is to rule the school. I'm assuming you attend classes, do tasks (or missions), and have interaction with other game-based characters. It has been stated multiple times that you do not start out as a bully, and your sole task is not to make everybody's lives a living hell.

    I've you've ever played ANY GTA game, you would realise that there is an underlying goodness to it (yes, you kill some people, but they're bad and corrupting;
Big Smoke died because he was spreading crack, Tenpenny died because he was corrupt
). Given the history of all Rockstar games of this nature I can safely say that this will not be an "I'm a bully, I'll go kill some little punk and steal his money" type game.

To the people stating that this type of game is wrong and corrupting causing some people to do copycat stunts, so what? Do you think that we should ban snowboarding games because it might encourage youth to try that sport and get injured? Should we ban racing games because they cause people to go a little faster in their chavitized-nova? (ok, bad example)

People learn things by doing them, and we have a policing system in place to help react to situations such as a bully (note: prevention is often times irrelevant in situations like this as they mostly target the already weak, while alienating the stronger). Maybe if we actually took some action on our parts, our kids wouldn't be prone to this kind of treatment. You do have options, and yes, believe it or not you had them as a youth too.

You can home-school, private-school, teach your children better before school, pay more to the school so they can get better patrols of the school yard, have a stricter bully system (OYGZZZ!!!11! one dayz suspensionss!!!! IM SO HURT~!!!!). You do have better options then just complaining about a game and thinking that will be a cure-all if you don't allow it to be released.

And anyways, I think it's a joke how people say that they still "suffer" due to the bullying they received in school. Get over it, I have, and a great many other people did too. If you are unable to just flip a switch, then get help, it's not hard unless you make it hard.

If you have a problem with this game and think it will affect your children, sit them down, talk to them about how afraid you are to deal with reality, take them out of school, move to alaska, and lock yourself indoors. You'll be doing yourself a favour, trust me.

    [/rant]

If I offended you, realise that it was unintentional. But I'm not going to apologise for speaking the truth.
