Firefox and/or Bit-tech auto resizes them to fit on my screen?

Yes but it still takes longer to load, only resizes once the picture is fully loaded and doesn't look as nice as a picture at its standard res. There's a WinXP powertoy to batch resize pics if that makes it easier for you :)

I think that, on the other end, is an adapter to take vacuum cleaner attachments :)
(Assuming there's a Delta screamer on the hsf!)

    My HTPC Setup :D

The other speakers for my 5.1 setup are in the upper corners of the room as I routed them into the wall and plasterd over when I moved into tnad renovated the interior of my house :dremel:

And my desk which I made from left over Iroko Hard Wood from doing my kitchen and legs from Ikea :thumb:

Looking at this the HTPC is basically behind me.

I was in the spare room but my wife complained that I spent all my time in there so I had to bring my PC back into the living room so going to be getting one of these with a TAgen Easy Con:

and this so that it goes with the HTPC setup :)

You should really remove that antistatic bag from under the mobo. If a pin on the mobo pops through it you will short your mobo.
The bags contain metal dust to creat a faraday cage.

They are Sicuro 'gaming speakers' 2.1

They light up with specific frequencies - such as gunfire.

They were bought as more of a gimmick than a real replacement for my speakers but they are actually really good (or at least me - who is probably tone deaf by now - thnks they are good quality)
