Now that was a totally awesome gig. Nearly missed our flights home because we fell asleep in the departure lounge but who cares? I'll be in Australia this summer but alas they'll most likely be over this side of the world... :sigh:

That yellow object on your desk, looks suspiciously like a Pokemon Yellow Game Boy cartridge. Am I right?

Yup. Birthday present from my Australian aunt soo many years ago now. Hasn't been played in years but it's still knocking around - which would go some way towards explaining the mess I suppose!

Also in there that I can see easily - fig rolls pack, fork, olbas oil, broken mx900, several beanie lizards, doom 3, battery charger, phone cradle, multimeter manual. duct tape, winning scratchcards (which I had completely forgotten existed, woot!) etc etc. I need a cleanout!

Halls. Bit old, both of those shelves are full of DVDs and games now. Looking forward to explaining the 35mm hole in my desk when I leave in a couple of months :hehe:

Just get some MDF to match it and lay some contact paper over it - claim it was like that when you moved in!

Ok here's my room Christmas 2004

    And here's it today

It feels like there's 10m^2 more room now... Strange  Viewsonic 20", Yamaha AV-amp, T.amp E400 subwoofer amp, Razer tarantula, MX610, speakers all over the place and a Peerless XLS sub under the desk. If the table wasn't so butt ugly, I'd kinda like this place.

here's a piccy showing the wire management I made, and also the stand for the center speaker. It used to be over my CRT so I had to invent something.

(extra piccys showing the stand and the cables under the table http://allthemods.com/userinfo.php?userid=8&id=797 http://allthemods.com/userinfo.php?userid=8&id=796)

I'm glad if someone finds it useful! It also has mounting holes for the display, but no adjustments at all... I'd like to see more of these because such allows pretty optimal placement for a center speaker, instead I've seen many people just slam the box behind the display or next to it. Eww.

Aibo ERS-7M3 (dissertation toy), Denon DG-1MD HiFi (I just use it as an amp), DiNovo keyboard, Logitech MX Revolution, Powerbook, Dell 2007WFP, iPod 5G 60Gb, and the FireBox (just!).

    For the drool :)

Mind 3 is said to be pretty damn awesome. I only ever saw a demo of Mind 1 (before the ERS-7 went on sale) at an Aibomeet and that was incredible at the time.

...not to drag this too far off topic, but yeah, it's pretty impressive. I don't really use Mind3 at all though, I'm programming it using the Tekkotsu platform (www.tekkotsu.org) which is REALLY something.
