Well things just escalated. I now have a smashed in door and have witnesses to prove who it was. I am now pressing charges for Personal property damage and at the same time busting them for drugs. **** them
Well I just got done talking to the police and having the house swept for drugs. Everything came back clean, however there is now a case open for Criminal Mischief and also drugs on the kid and his friends.
mindless idiocy. My new room mate said he heard a commotion and them(the two old room mates) being pissed off about something and some banging.When I went into the garage after i got back from the hardware store I found a fist hole through one of the doors which now has a gaping hole in it (it was an old slatted door that was my closet with my tools in it) I have another person who can positively ID them going back to their truck and peeling out. I am going to confront them over the phone and ask for the $100 in damages that it would cost to replace the door and if they refuse I will press charges. The police already have assigned me a case number and everything, they are just waiting for my go ahead.
......... until you actually need them and then I bet you' d complain that they didnt turn up quick enough. Heres Karma for you..... what happened if you didn't 'snitch' on someone but further down the line someone you loved got hurt because of your lack of action?
I'd say go for pressing charges immediately. FFS kick them out and change locks , inform police and then leave it at that. Live and learn from your mistakes. There are worse things in life than that
then they smashed your door in ... I know what i would do but that's just me. Now they have left just get on with your life mate and consider it a lesson learnt. There are more good people i the world than bad but its the bad ones that ruin for the good. I wouldn't bother chasing for damages if its only cheap to repair. Just do it your self and with you next tenants be more careful and do it all legally and under contract.
Well after reviewing the evidence and talking to a lawyer I have decided to drop the charges for criminal mischief since no one can prove which one in the group of three people went through the door. However, I am going to continue to press on the drug charges since I just found out there has been dealing going on at my house from one of his friends.

I suggest that if you are going to press charges that you say no more about it on these forums (or anywhere on the Internet) until the case is closed.
