For any one who fancy playing soemthing a little different.

a new game called battle swarm, the basic are as the title says RTS vs FPS. You have 2 player in RTS playing against 6 players in FPS..

as to be expected you get all the usual things in FPs, nades, shot guns, miniguns, snipers and many other goodies. There is also a skill system in place alowing to play of higher level servers along with higher end armour.

same goes for the RTS side of things skill up win gold to allow you to buy better weapons etc to use. I have only played the RTS a few times you have a std top down view, you also have a commander to run around while give out orders for you spawn points. Instead of building building you have to utilize troop from your spawn points which every one has weakness and strengths use them to the best of your abilities to take over the map and take out the generators.

the game is either in final beta or it has come out of beta so would be cool to see more people on playing.

check out the vid and see what you think.

savage did this years ago, personally i want to see mechcommander combined with mechwarrior.

    that would be epic.

I liked Savage, but only when playing as a commander. The FPS aspect was sub-standard.

Hmm, an interesting concept. I don't think it's my sort of game though. It looks like it might keep me amused for a little while, but I feel it would get old quickly. I do however, like the blood splatter effects.

I might give it a shot one day (pun not intended) if I'm lost for things to do.

I actually initially downloaded Company of Heroes thinking it had some FPS-elements (taking over snipers, tanks, etc...). The idea is tempting, but I just don't think it will play out as well as it might sound.
