I have a program that outputs video to AVI and the MAC version of the program outputs to mov. I need the mov output on my PC so I was wondering if there was a way to somehow run the program and trick it into thinking it is on a MAC...?
I don't know a way of tricking mac programs onto windows, (isn't OS X linux based?) Why not try just either using a windows based converter program there are a fair few out there? As converting the same file twice you'll lose quality, same reason why audiophiles try and keep all their music in the same format.
Some sort of virtual machine and OSX (Snow) Leopard. Problem is, it's a bit tricky to get to run. And it's not really legal, to boot.
Checkout http://www.osx86project.org/ see what you think / find. Also this program is awesome for encoding too and from different formats http://www.xilisoft.com/video-converter.html
