So I'm looking for a way to run a game on my desktop and play it on my netbook, or cloud computer the power of the desktop to the netbook, I would think there would have to be a way to do this.
http://www.onlive.com/ But that is with Microsoft servers, not desktop. Also, you need a high speed internet connection (probably 15-30Mbps) connected on LAN. If you can do something like this with your desktop instead, I would expect the same specs. You can forget it over Wireless G or non-dual band N. This is what Microsoft recommends for their setup:
For something like minecraft, try VNC. I haven't used it in years (will be with a file server I am bringing up), so I don't know what kind of lag you might experience, but it is probably small enough to not be noticable in something like minecraft. Not something I'd try in an FPS though.
Yea I've used vnc a bit for remote conections, and its a bit laggy, even for general pc use. I might give it another look tho.
