I am getting a Siberian husky and want it to purely know Russian. I have the commands but cannot find straight translations for a name. If anyone knows Russian and can translate that would be awesome. As I cannot really read Russian, I need the phonetics as well. Protector From God My Protector Great Protector (i like the protector theme so anything else that would sound cool and meaningful)
muttski killerski seriously Vassily - great protector Male http://www.cat-dog-names.com/russian-dog-names.html
"Protector" translates into Russian as "протектор" If you can't read the Cyrillic alphabet I'll give you a hand, it transliterates as "Protektor." You could also try "защитник " (zashchitnik) [defender/guard/defense council/shield] "покровитель" (pokrovitelʹ) [patron/angel/protector] "регент Англии" (regent Anglii)
Killmouseki (although would probably suit a cat better lol) I do like the 'Defender' option posted above however.
It's just a dog. Why on earth are you making life complicated for yourself by teaching the dog to associate your attempts at speaking russian with commands? I don't think the dog is going to care one way or another if the noises you make at it are english or russian.
Wanka (its russian for Fur Hat) (pronounced Shap Ka) out of interest how much experience have you had with dogs? why do you want a siberian husky over another dog? do you have a large house / garden? i'm not trying to be judgemental but you sound pretty immature and Huskies are very very hard work (i have a 19 month old Siberian) she is fantastic but very challenging, they are not like normal dogs. do you plan on going sledging with it? taking it for runs? what will you do with it during the day? i know of a lot of people whom had to give their siberians away because they could not cope and these are people whom have had dogs all their lives
I don't know the UK too well, but I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that 'Wanka' might not be the best dog name..
If you loose your dog and you go around the streets shouting that name, you could end up in a bit of bother for sure. He He.
