I had it down as a sign of poor quality troops with old unmaintained kit rather than a deliberate action.
Ukraine knocking missiles off course is an unfortunate accident, unfortunately it also give Russia a new tactic.

 

Germany has FINALLY agreed to send armour to Ukraine.

Mercs who effectively function as a special forces arm of the Russian military.

 

Remove “effectively” and you’re wholly correct.

There is an assumption that failure to supply is a deliberate action and not that Russia simply doesn't have sufficient ammunition stocks.
