    Night time photos

Here are some night time pictures I took. Have a sneak peak of the system.

My photography skills are not the greatest, so I apologise if the pictures are not up to standard. :worried:

as nice as it is i just don't understand the point of custom watercooling this type of case, with the radiator at the bottom it just goes against what the case is all about.

    UPDATE : Raven Logo painting.

Could'nt do much this week been busy at work. Had a few hours to spare today so I did what I could with it.

    Tools used.

Galeria Round - S windosor & newton size 2 Brush

Acrylic paint - Titanium white for WH Smith

Nail Polish remover from super drug

    The painted Logo

It took along time to do this. Almost 2 hours. I did not want to get the paint on the sides and wanted it only on the top of the letters. Most of it went smoothly, only in 2 places my hand slightly slipped and the paint got on the sides. I managed to clean this up using the nail polish remover after completing the whole paint job.

All I need to do this leave it for about 12 hours and clear cote it. Just to protect it from scratches and to give it a even feel.

Overall I'm happy with how it turned out. Let me know your views.

    Cheers guys

Well your partially right. I Choose the case because I love the look of the ravens, they simply stand out. But as for the cooling. The GPU's are the only once which need to be cooled by air, I left a single Penetrator fan in there which sits right at the bottom of the GPU's pushing cooling air into it. This is one of the reasons I used a 360 rad. I could have fitted a larger 420 or SR 560 into the case easily. But I went for a 360 so that I can leave a fan which pumps cool air into the system.

The system temp right now is 27 degrees after running the system all day long with a ambient of 21 in the room. CPU temps and GPU temps I published in a previous post and are all really good. So having the radiator at the bottom really doesn't effect anything even though you are pushing hot air through the case.

    worked out absolutly awesome m8
    + rep

btw you would need to do some major work on the case to fit a 560RAD, but it would fit
( looked into it before ) youd need to take out some of the front ( or back) of the case to fit in
in fact you could run the watercooling tubes up the rear of the case and...
    hmmm...inspiration...*looks at bank balance*
    nevermind...>_<

I ended up cleaning up the case before I built it, just in case I wanted to do a upgrade later on.
I did modify the front of the case.

As you can see in the picture, I should be able to mount the full size 560 Rad :D after I remove the last fan off as well.

Removing the front drive caddy off was pretty easy. Only about 10 reverts to pop out, and it just drops out. If silver stone had used screws instead we could have removed it off easier. I don't see why they just didn't make it removable to start with.

but you will find that a 560 rad ends up being about 605mm
    Hardware Labs Black Ice® GT Xtreme 560mm Quad Radiator = 153 x 54 x 605mm

and the main chamber ( back metal plate to the front one ) is about 590mm
but on top of that you have about 40mm to the front of the plastic at the front of the case

OOO I see what you mean. :sigh: Looks like I will have some cutting to do, if I want to do that.
I think it would be easier to just dump a 480 at the bottom and 120 at the top to get almost the same performance. Any ways my build for this revision is almost done. A year on who knows what will happen. :naughty:

i think it would look awesome to have a 560rad in the base of mine, but my bank balance dissagrees, should give you amazing performace for very little extra work. you could easily add your gpu's to the loop as well :)

I know the feeling mate, yea adding the GPU's as well that another 200 quid for the water blocks and the fittings, and the rad onto that and you need totally about 350 quid to do that. Game over dude.

Just bought an RV02. I would love to see this project but none of the images are loading for me. Is it just me or does everyone else not see them anymore?

Looks like all the image links are now 404'd, judging by the error page that appears if you enter the URLs to any of the images.
