    Lol.

Phenomenal progress so far. Thought this would turn out to be one of those mods where someone gets halfway through, and settles with some half-assed job, but you proved me wrong! Absolutely spot on! :thumb:

*EDIT:* Damn, guess I ought to :read: , huh? Oh, and wootsicles for second page.

Thanks again for all your comments/support.

Well it was the same here at first tbh, I didn't think we would have modded it to this extent and especially didn't expect to be using so many power tools and car filler :eeek:

Time to make that rear back plate look a bit more attractive,

Bought a BBQ grill for £2:

Cut a rectangle hole in the back plate:

I then straightened/filed/sanded/cleaned it, followed by primer, followed by paint.

After it had dried we used Araldite to attach a bit of the BBQ grill.

(more pics of that if the Araldite has dried by tomorrow)

    ----------------------

My dad found me some PVC pipe in his workshop and cut some chunks off for me which are going to be used as case feet:

then I sanded them nice and smooth:

Tomorrow I will prime them, spray them black and wrap them in a bit more of that BBQ grill.

    Peace :thumb:

    As promised:

Im now going to look for a bit of that self adhesive chrome trim to finish off the edges ^_^

After finishing sanding the bits of pipe, I primed them:

    Sprayed them black:

And did a test fit of the mesh on the fifth foot (spare/practice one):

All four are now finished and just need attaching to the bottom of the chassis.

Drill holes in the feet where the holes in the mesh are and light them with LED's I say.

My dads already thought of that but im not too sure about lighting the floor, I want to try and keep the lighting pretty subtle but good idea none the less.

Yes, definitely light them up, that would make them super cool.

One per foot LED would be subtle enough, not?

Not had much time recently and all we have done this week is make a perspecs bottom for the case:

This will have 2X12" CCFLs on top to light up the bottom of the case, this will then have the checkerplate put back to form a cavity which will be used to hide a load of cables later on.

Bought a few parts from Maplin:

A keyswitch, heat shrink, rubber grommets and 2 push-to-make switches.

Also took a trip to the car recycle centre:

Found a newer version of the volt meter i was going to use which looks better.

and a vent to use on the top of the case for the exhaust fan (Nissan Bluebird)

First wave of filler before sanding.

The mod is coming along nicely. :dremel:
I was wondrering if the vents is meant for a bathroom and if they're easy to get.
Now, about those feet....Hmmmmm, I decided against them. I don't like them. :nono:

Nothing exciting, all ive done this weekend is continue with the wiring of the switch panel and all the CCFLs:

But sadly, one of the inverters made a high pitches noise and burnt out and on closer inspection we found out what happened:
