what motherbaord should i get, i looking at http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139780. need one to go with the intel e7400 processor, 4gb ram and the gtx 260 graphic card.
not a good board really, do for the bog standard user but not anyone who cares about there PC. look at these. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148802 (not a bad little board if your on a tight budget) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152574 (decent board, good overclocker) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/165395 (very good board, excellent overclocker) also best board was the biostar IP45 board but cant find it at my usual suppliers. maybe try to find it as it was the best 775 board.
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Giga...(x16)-DDR2-1066(OC)-800-MHz-SATA-II-Micro-ATX Small, cheap and overclocks superbly. Cracking board!
this is the best 775 board http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Asus...x16)-DDR2-1200-1066-800-SATA-II-SATA-RAID-ATX
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/165395 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Asus-...-SATA-RAID-ATX these two are the same boards? im looking for a sli compliant motherboard not a crossfire, what do you recommend?
why would you nede to ask since 775 is DDR2 granted they are some boards that do DDR3 that are socket 775 but not very common and if hes looking at the board in the link he provided its DDR2
I have the P5Q Deluxe and is far to good in comparsion with I had before and also I never go for the Nvidia chipset again because is very poor at overclock and Intel rock also I cannot overclock anything at the moment because I do not have a decent CPU cooling and a decent case to cool my components but this motherboard worths the money.
sorry i definately wanna get the gtx 260 because looks like a decent card, will get ddr2 ram 4gb oz 1066mhz. whats board do you recommend? was gonna get that one above but but, its not sli it is crossfire, im thinking about getting a sli motherboard because it future proofs it just incase i get another nvidia card in the future.
Pretty much every high end X38 and X48 board was DDR3, as were most P35 and P45. To say they are uncommon is just showing a lack of knowledge on the subject (although you score points for noticing him linking to a DDR2 board originally). I wouldn't.... There really is no point limiting yourself to a nForce mobo because you might "go SLI in the future". By time you "might" want another GTX260 there will be single new single cards available that will be far more tempting. Buy an SLI board if you want SLI now, otherwise go for a more stable, cooler running, superior overclocking P35 or P45 Inter offering.
whats the different between p35 and p45, im looking at a p45 board on ebay and going by reviews as i dont really understand motherboards just the memory ddr2, and intel compatible. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/161006 or http://www.ebuyer.com/product/161008 im i right in thinking the p45 is better than p35 because its a higher number so i assume its newer? sorry if i sound dumb
Biostar TP45 HP for £75 or thereabouts at scan if its in stock. Alternatively check this thread out, dont know where you can source this board from in the UK though - http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=175138
im also looking at : http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/...tel775P45ChipsetMotherboards/Asus/P5QSE2.html is that any good? better than the buyer ones im looking at?
um...what? very few boards for x38/x48 or p35/p45 were ddr3 when compared to the number of ddr2 boards, so it was uncommon...and how does he "score points" for noticing it was a ddr2 board he was looking at originally? thats pretty much the game... why is that? if the guy wants sli, then he wants sli. evga and xfx make good nforce boards. if you want to point out they don't overclock as well, sure...but i will take a 780 mobo and 2 x gtx 260's with a crap oc on the cpu over an x48 with a high oc and 1 gtx 260 finally, a good point...
well there are some sli boards which are good at over clocking which is this one http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/EVGA...I-E-(x16)-DDR2-1066-800-SATA-II-SATA-RAID-ATX i have owned one excerlent board brilliant bios ( easyest bios to navigate through) overclocks well and does sli and farily cheap oh and good layout and unlimited warrenty when you sign up for it at evga
The MSI P7N diamond is a brilliant board and although dated it still would kick the biostar Tpower i45's well awarded arse http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MSI-P7N-Diamo...vr_id=&cguid=7bcca4bb1240a0e205374867ffeddb1b
