Sorry, think you took that post the wrong way. that was referring to Safari, not your post.

That's not the problem. The problem is that you need three fingers (on two hands, if your hands are anything like mine) to use the keyboard shortcuts. Shift+Apple+{ !? That is just crap design, and it's irritated me for aaaaaages. I've been using OS X for three years now.

why you can't do Apple+Shift+Tab+H+L+P+Insert+delete at the same time?! It's easy. I do it everyday! ;)

Has any of you looked at the official IE for Mac?
Try it and then come back bashing a beta browser.

I found their claim funny, the "draggable tabs"

FireFox 2.0 has had draggable, copyable, and movable-able from one window to the other, tabs since release.

And honestly, I've always hated the gray interface color of Safari, even more so on Vista.
There's nothing new at all that Safari brings.

Honestly, 1 or 2 second difference isn't going to make much difference since most of the time it's bandwidth problems too when loading a page

Though I guess that means I could post a whole two seconds faster then you if you're using FF and I'm using Safari.. Score!

As far as I'm aware, Firefox doesn't have 'tear-off' tabs like Safari appears to. It's one of very few things in Safari that I prefer, but no love until I get proper extensions thanks. Never been a major fan of the brushed metal interface that the older version of Safari had (new one has the new unified Leopard look, right?)

I can only assume that the real reason for Safari for Windows is just so Jobs can expand the iPhone developer market. Not that anything that works in Firefox is going to show up very differently in Safari (I'll have a couple pixel discrepancy in tables or margins on occasion, but nothing like the mangling that IE provides). Hell, I've been designing my iPhone launcher page in Firefox not even thinking about how the iPhone is going to be running Safari.

    You need Firefox 2.0x
I just tried it, just to confirm it, and it works great. (I have no added extensions for it)

You don't need iTunes if all you want is QuickTime (use the standalone installer), but you do need QuickTime if you want iTunes. :)
