anyone use saitek joysticks? ive just picked one up and im finding it hard to install it. just seems to stay forever on the configure screen and does nothing at all. ive tried a few drivers and all get me to different parts of the installation but none past this configure screen.
your not plugging it in before installing anything are you? if you have then you need to remove any trace of you plugging it in
what Dom said. unpluge it. download latest from their site. then start the installer. when it says install it. tell it to install the Advanced version that lets you program the stick.. then it's popup about 6-10 different add new hardware wizerds just click through them on auto. it'll ask you to calibrate the stick @ some point etc........... I use the X45 flight stick and the P3000 Game Pad
i made that mistake to begin with, but i pulled it out and restarted the installer, then it worked a bit more but it never asked me to configure it, it just stayed on the same screen for over 30 mins so i deiced to leave it. fired up bf2 and its working with xp drivers instead
