Networks Same IP

    Have any of you ever heard of 2 neighbours with cable having the same IP?

    Internet facing IPs or on seperate LANs?

    Care to elaborate a little?

    nope, thats a new one on me.

    Are you by any chance running through a router and the ip address is 192.168.0.1 ?

    Just a thought.

    Not possible unless they are on two completly separate networks. If they were on the same network there would be a conflict, the switch will not know which computer to send data to!

    Its like two houses on one street having the same house number! Poor postman!

    And yes, elaborate a bit!
