    if its limited to the note or even if they expand to all samsung phones then this is a very very niche product.

    only a small % of note owners would buy this so it doesnt make much sense ?

    I think this is more about converting the vr gamer demographic to samsung phones, rather than trying to appeal to existing samsung phone owners.

    Think of all those gamers who are beginning to toy with the idea of picking up a VR headpiece. Maybe they're also due for a phone upgrade soon. So if they make their next phone a samsung they can pick up this addon for it, and it will presumably be cheaper than a dedicated vr solution with its own screen.
