    It's designed to reflect and focus sunlight back at you to allow for proper retina burn-in.

    Meh, this is just a place holder gimmick until they can manufacture flexible screens which fit a real and useful purpose. Like a screen which can be unfurled from a device.

    The glass covering the display was curved; the actual display was not.

    Perfectly curved to give you a perfectly aligned screen for watching portrait shot videos of faceplanting skateboarders.

    But you don't shoot video like that? You watch widescreen videos in landscape format? Probably not for you then... unless you're really REALLY into temple run.

    +1 I'm thinking an iPhone 4-size screen for normal use and maybe Galaxy note size that unfurls out for watching films or prolonged web browsing. Can't be long now surely :lol:

    Ah, I understand. What's the benefit to having the screen itself curve? Lower weight/thickness?

    In my roughly two years of ownership... there is none. :hehe: It's perhaps subtly easier to reach the bottom of the screen with your thumb.

    The curvature on the Nexus is nowhere near as pronounced as the Round, and as Nexxo says it's just the glass so it's more that the phone slightly bulges at the bottom, rather than truly curving the whole design.
