Guys If anyone can shed any light on my issue it would be of much help. Im trying to put a couple of series onto my phone so i got something to watch while on holiday. Dragged and dropped a few movies no problem but i am currently trying to put a series onto it and it seems to finish before the 'green copy bar' gets to the end and ofc the files does not work. Ive tried multiple times to do this certain series and although they play fine on the computer it just will not finish copying properly ..... about 20% from the end of the green bar copying it over it just finishes. Now like i said i have put a few movies onto it and no hassles at all. I take the option to convert them through windows but still the same error. Anyone having the same sort of issues with this phone??
I've not got that phone, but if you could supply more info it might help. What file type are you using? And what size are the files?
By any chance the file is larger than 4GB ? If yes, maybe you are hitting FAT32 file size limitation.
So far ive Divx files on, no worries there. Also put Avi files on, no worries there either. The series im trying to put on are avi files but still having this same issue of it not completing properly when copy and converting over. Files im having issues are 350mb each, it converts them down to about 250mb. Divx was a 699mb file and again converts it to a smaller size file, around 536mb. I cant understand why films go on no worries but ive tried 2 different series together in a folder and even on there own but still the same issue .... i just dont get it I will try and convert to MP4 and give that a go. Cheers guys i do appreciate any help with this.
Id a 64gb card inside. Even the ones i did get to work ..... dont seem to work anymore. So i really dont know whats going on with it.
If you're going to MP4 I suggest Handbrake. It's free and usually has a list of presets for phones and tablets. I used to use it for my Ipad it was acebest.
Have you tried taking the card out and copying the files over directly to the card? Might be an idea to check the card in case it is starting to corrupt.
Is it a legit card though? You know those chinese "Sandisk" et al 4GB ("64GB") are everywhere! I have an S4 and no problems with large media transfers, even episodes of, say, Rome (11 - 12GB each ep) are fine.
I just got the S4 the other day thanks to a free upgrade 6 months early I will give it a try tonight with some films and tv eps and see what happens.
Its it a bit of a cheapy from ebay. Said it was a class 10 but should go and buy a Sandisk and see how i get on with that. *tried from my PC in the office and having the same issues. I bit the bullet and ordered a Sandisk from Amazon so hopefully not being a tight arse will solve the issue! Thanks for all advice guys. Will give that handbrake a go too!
I don't buy cards from Ebay after having my last 32Gb die after just 2 months, so now I only buy them from Scan even if they do cost around twice as much.
