Displays Samsung SM226BW - problem!

    I think my 22" monitor is dying. I paid £235 at microdirect.co.uk 2.5 years ago. :miffed:
    All started few months ago. When I m starting my system the monitor starts to flash, the flashing rate is really fast at the beginning and slows down after some time. Use to stabilize after 15mins but now the flashing could take up to 2 hours!! I would never gonna pay more then £150 ever again :(
    Wish i could fixed it with less then £50 but don't think its gonna happen :wallbash:

    could be the cathode dying (the back light).

    no they dont just having my swapped as we speak.

    its a 2233BW and its 20 months old.

    TVs are only 12 months monitors are 36

    did you call them on the phone or did you use their website?

    Regarding your inquiry, kindly note that we need the copy of the proof
    of purchase in order to book an under warranty service request for your
    monitor, however if you could not find it we will not be able to do this
    and there will be a charge for the repair as your monitor was
    manufactured on July 2007 and Samsung gives 3 years warranty on its
    monitors. Please look for the proof of purchase on more time and send it
    to us on uk.help@samsung.com in order to proceed with raising the
    service request for the monitor.
