When I begun to play it goes at normal speed but after a while everything goes fast forward, as if my computer is way too fast for the game. If I reset my computer the problem will fix temporarily. I'm sure it's not the game's fault because I sometimes get the same kind of effect in other games like COD2.

    My System:
    AMD 64 x2 3800+
    ATI Radeon X800 GTO
    1.5Gb Ram
    Win XP Sp2

I got the latest Catalyst and latest directX.

i think its you that is actually slowing down thus preceiving the rest of the world (but your only noticing the game as your so ingrosed in it) speeding up, i'd lay of the mind bending drugs and see if that will fix it.

    LOL

Me and a friend both had the same problem, we both have an X2 4400+ and we solved the problem by simply changing the game to run on only one affinty. It seems that if you don't set the affinity, for some reason the game runs something like 10x faster than it should.

You have two cores, so two processors really, the game somehow tries to use both processors, you have to set it to just one core. You can temporarily set the affinity by going to task manager and right clicking the process, go to "set affinity" and only have one of the boxes checked. (CPU 0 or CPU 1).

However, you will need to do this every time the game runs. You can get around this by right clicking the game executable and adding -A0 or -A1 at the end, ie "G:\Game Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\gta_sa.exe" -A1 - This can only be done on a shortcut.
