Modding sandblasting?????

    i have a friend that has ,, errrr a mini sandblaster. mainly used for etching.. just curious if anyone has used such a thing and how it looks...

    when I worked at a sign shop we used a fairly thick rubber material that came on a roll and was cut out by a plotter equiped with a blade and you could stick it to wood (or whatever). We would take it to a sandblaster. The sand would eat away everthing but what was protected by the masking... pretty cool stuffs.

    yup, it's called "sandblast resist" if you want to ask your sign shop for some. I have a buddy with a full size sandblaster for stripping paint and finishes off car parts and firearms. Fun stuff, not super practical for detail work though :)

    just tried the airbrush and it works great. hope to show some of the things i do with it.
