there is still a bunch to do until this thing is done, including the lighting. i've been experimenting with my 4 ccfls and the paper i'm using for the painting my sister is currently working on, but the painting will be there on the final panel. this is the possible lighting for the panels only, nothing else yet since the comp isn't actually running, although i got my OS, Windows media center edition 2005, so it should be up soon, let me know what u think of the lighting, as usual, its not as bright in person.
I dont usually log in.. but I just had to! This has got to be my most favourite mod on this forum so far. Amazing work man and I hope there is more to come from you.
nice to see you cheif, new members always welcome, we hope you stay. This has to be amongst my top 3 mods ever, and i been hanging around here for years. Might be beaten only by the wooden media pc i love so much that featured on the site about 6 months ago. amazing work, i've picked up you own a shop that sell this style of woodwork? or did i imagine that.
thanks man, actually i'm only 19, so my shop is kinda quaint at the moment, but i am a custom furniture maker and i've been doing this type of woodwork for the past year or so at school
Usually the wood mods just look like plain woodboxes, with ccfls into it and fluo colors, this one looks like... euh... A BEAUTY MADE OF WOOD! So sexy...
I couldn't have visualized how sweet this case looks with the ccfl's and the paper installed. VERY NICE LOOKING. It's gonna be even better with a painting on the paper to boot! I love it!
Yeah, that could be true, but that case is unique, that's the important thing of it, selling them would take that "unique" touch off it... Hmm did someone understand what I meant?
Awesome work! Imho i think that translucent white plexi would look better (would give a smoother glow) but thats just me
thanks, the next step will be to get things running, while working on the lighting some more and then routing all the wires so i don't ruin the clean look
That looks awsome! Definetly wanna see this door in place and the pc turned on to see the effect it creates.
My god that's amazing, my hat's off to your sister! I loved the lighting anyway. Whew! You wouldn't happen to know what she used to paint that, would you? Paint type, brush style, and, of course, the paper? (not to downplay your own work, or anything...)
