Hi guys I just need to know which one of these cards to buy, it's for an old AGP puter, what really makes me doubt it's the shader model on these 2 cards one has shader 2.0 9600XT whereas MSI NX6200 has 3.0. Here are some of the specs from both cards, please help me out decide thanks a bunch

    Sapphire 9600XT
    GPU RV360
    GPU Clock 500 Mhz
    Mem 580-650 Mhz
    4 pipelines
    Shader model 2.0

    MSI NX6200 TD128
    GPU: NV44
    GPU Clock 300 Mhz
    Mem 550 Mhz
    4 pipelines
    shader model 3.

Personally, I would go with the 9600XT, its a more poweful GPU. My friends how have similar computers, but one has a 9600XT and the other had a 6200, the 9600XT plays games better. 6200 are pretty weak, so SM 3.0 isn't much of an advantage.

I'm not sure how an X1300 compares to a 9600XT, but I'm pretty sure its more powerful. It really just depends on your budget and what you would use it for. If you can afford an X700 or an X800GTO or an X1600Pro for AGP, those would be the 3 most powerful cards with spending around $80 for the X700 or $100-120 on the X800GTO/X1600Pro
