I'd agree it looks a lot worse than the the reference cards. But imagine 2 of these in crossfire... Hmmm.. :)

TBH this card is designed for eyefinity in mind.

Would it be possible to review (or update this one) with some benches at 5760*1080 to see how much benefit the extra memory (and overlock) gives at this sort of resolution.

Insane, almost twice the performance of the GTX480 in some tests!

How does it compare to GTX 480 SLi?

£1000, ouch. I'm sure most people would rather sli 480s or crossfire 5870s

GTX480 SLI is surprisingly quite efficient. It might come close to 5970 levels, in fact!

From an Engineering/function point of view, it's pure beauty! I allways say that theres beauty in things that works excellent for one specific task.

About time we get some better gpu's, the market have stagnated for the last couple of years. Love it, but hate the people who have it :)

Some prefer if function followed form, but I prefer function over form - no one is going to look at your GPU - just how well it works.

Dead on there. Its a limited eddition model. Probably a "do it just do see if we can do it" kind of thing. Sure its super expensive but being able to fit that much on a board with out it catching on fire is pretty impressive. You would hope it would set the stage for cheaper and more efficiently cooled cards in the future regardless of the power use.

Damn, this long for a card to come out that finally has decent frames in Crysis... It's got me thinking though, what's the next step? Doesn't ARMA 2 have ridiculous draw distances possible? Can you guys benchmark that?

I was wondering the same thing. If the card is the coolest under load of the ones tested, then, wouldn't you have a little headroom for over clocking? Does anyone know?

900.00 to 1099.00 is retarded for any GPU. Pure and simple.

I actually quite like the way it looks. Going to get rid of a 5870 and make room for this, wondering how it will do in crossfire with one of my existing overclocked 5870s. I have the clockspeed on the 5870 at 900 too.
